Went to Bangkok few days ago for a 5 day 4 night trip on 26/10/12 with my Girlfriend Evelynn (Do visit her blog too!) Air ticket (Cathay Pacific)+ Hotel (Myhotel Bangkok)+ Airport transfer + Half day tour costed us only $376 SGD, cheap right! We book our stuff from TVI Holidays located at Chinatown, look for May if you want to book any holidays with her as she is really very friendly!
My boarding pass and passport heh!
Some items that are not allowed to bring on board
This is the plane we are taking. And it's quite big compared to the other planes around.
And you can see the weather is really great!
Some cam thingy that allows you to see the bottom of the plane * Mountain tortoise mode on*
Brought little Rila to accompany me for my short trip so I won't miss home so much, I think his missing home too already ):
Yes, plane food. Yum yums ~
I LOVE PLANE FOOD!
Reach the airport safely without an hiccups and the first thing i did was go get data sim card as I will die without my internet and I needed to report my safety to Lebf and parents (:
Walk to around gate 4 to 6 you will find this shop.
Damage of 299 baht around $12 for a weeks worth of unlimited internet with 100 baht of call time. Internet speed is quite fast around the same as Singapore. Company's Dtac (:
After getting our prepaid cards we went to find our airport transfer.
And there was a few other Singaporeans too..But the airport transfer timing was a little mess up but we cleared up the misunderstanding very soon (:
Inside the Van
Our bed, quite big.
Experience was not very good but at least bed is clean and everything. Located near Pratunam area but the hotel is situated in a very secluded back alley. They do provide free Tuk Tuk to the main road.
The first day there wasn't much to do so we went exploring Pratunam night market. But after a while we decided to go Central World for dinner.
Some pictures or Pratunam..
Baiyoke Tower, tallest building in Bangkok.
They have another twin tower just 5 mins walk away.
Wires wires everywhere~
Had Pepper Lunch, and it's only 367 baht for 2 person around $14.80!!
Evelynn's
Mine (:
Some pictures of Central World.
After dinner we decided to walk around the mall and i was looking for my Rilakkuma but instead of Rilakkuma we found a section full of Eeyores!!! Thus Evelynn went mad and died there. Ok just joking!
Only one small section only.
After dinner we continue to walk and shop around outside the mall as they also have many stalls operating till late night. And just 5 mins walk away from Central World we arrived at the Erawan Shrine aka four face Buddha. Quite accurate, so when you make a wish and it came true. Please remember to repay back.
Cute little cat just outside the shrine (:
After visiting the Shrine we continue shopping!
Girls will be girls (:
Wanted to do a drawing also. But I'm too lazy to sit there for 10 mins
Found this little stall doing customize couple tees.
Choose the face you want and it's only 480 baht for 2 tees which is around $19.2 sgd
While waiting for my shirt to be done Evelynn went choosing accessories just right beside me.
Just a few stalls above they also do customize wallets. Evelynn got her's but didn't get mine as the color i wanted wasn't available.
Day 2
Took a Tuk Tuk to Chatuchak, damage was 120 baht around $4.80 sgd
Was slightly disappointed with Chatuchak aka JJ market as they are beginning to be so overrated because of all the tourist coming in. No longer we are able to get cheap deals plus they kept wanting us to buy 3 or more for wholesale price but still way more expensive compared to Pratunam area. But again compared to Singapore they are still cheap...But you know I'm very cheapo person ):
Having our lunch at one of the food stalls
If you are feeling tired and warm, there's a mini bar here and there. This is one of those i found it quite amusing as there's a DJ haha!
But still do visit Chatuchak if you have never been there before as they do carry many vintage stuff and really interesting furniture's plus cute pets. Don't recommend buying one though as we aren't able to bring them back easily plus some of the kittens were in bad health condition.
Cute puppies!
Also they are only open on weekends 9am to evening timings. if you are take the BTS do alight at Mo Chit station (:
After visiting Chatuchak we decided to go Siam Paragon to watch a movie because of the warm weather plus our legs are aching badly! This time we took BTS instead but it costed us 35 baht each which is around $1.40 sgd.
We were issued with an old school bus card which Singapore used to have.
Finally found my Rilakkuma's but they are so expensive! So didn't buy any back.
After going Siam Paragon we went to Siam Discovery so see Madame Tussaud's wax figures.
Small map telling you how to go.
But they have this mini golf cart to drive you over if you are lazy to walk.
Sawadee~
Okay can. Fat tummy. Stop staring!
Meh. Justin Beiber only ~
And she went crazy when she saw Jay Chou hahahaha....
There's many more other picture.
Okay, I'm getting lazy and tired to blog about my trip already..If you want to know more on what we did in Bangkok do go over to Evelynn's blog to see.
Some random haul pictures. Not in order.
Shall end this post with my Le Sexy bear
