DIY: Give Old Jeans New Life

I happen to have a few pairs of old jeans in very bright colors which wasn't suitable for work, so instead of wasting more money to buy new jeans I decided to "recycle" my old jeans.
The fabric dye I use are from DYLON in Velvet Black.
It's easily available at any hardware store like Home-Fix or Self-Fix.

A pack cost me like $6.90, just follow instruction closely from the back of the packaging.
But do note that you might need to buy salt or not since most household already have salt.

Items needed
- 6 Lites of warm water
- 250gram of salt
- A pair of gloves (Which I didn't have so I used an old chopstick)
- A pail
Jeans in purple and light grey ._.
What possessed me to buy them in the first place :<

Simply just pour all the powder from the packaging and salt into the warm water and stir well.
And lastly just dip your jeans into the mixture and stir every once in a while to make sure it is soak thoroughly for around 45 mins.

After soaking for 45 mins, just rinse your jeans with cold water and wait for them to dry.
 Voilà

In the end the purple jeans didn't turn black as expected, perhaps I needed to bleach jeans first to remove the color before dying them.

Have fun!
